World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) Professionals - Gender Specialists

Kendall Tidey specializes in serving adults with mood disorders; particularly those with situational or chronic depression. She is a WPATH member and one of Wilmington’s few gender specialists, providing those questioning their gender identity, experiencing gender dysphoria or those under the transgender umbrella seeking support in navigating relationships with friends and family. She is a passionate ally to the trans community and facilitate the free local support group. Dr. Michael Stinnett (he/him) is honored to provide gender-affirming psychological care at Oceanview Mental Health & Wellness. At Oceanview, Dr. Stinnett also offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of the LGBTQIA+ community more broadly. These services include in-depth psychological evaluations, individual therapy, group therapy, and specialized support for those navigating coming out, exploring their gender identity, and addressing transition-related challenges. His work focuses on fostering resilience, self-acceptance, and empowerment in a world that can often be challenging for LGBTQIA+ folks.

Building on his extensive experience, Dr. Stinnett has developed a system of care that emphasizes collaboration with medical providers to ensure holistic, high-standard care for his clients. As a full member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), he is deeply committed to providing specialized mental health support to gender-diverse individuals of all ages. Dr. Stinnett's approach is grounded in creating a supportive and affirming environment where each client feels valued and understood.

CLAY GRUBER, LCSW

Clay specializes in providing compassionate and effective counseling for teenagers and young adults. With a laid-back approach and a love for humor, Clay creates a relaxed atmosphere where tough conversations can be tackled with laughter and honesty. Clay is especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals, understanding the unique challenges they face in areas like coming out, finding acceptance, and exploring their identity.

As a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), Clay has completed specialized training to offer affirming and inclusive care for transgender and gender-diverse individuals.
