Welcome to QAMP: Camp, Youth, Education & Belonging

QAMP (Queer Advocates Making Progress) is a free LGBTQIA+ youth leadership and community day camp designed to create a safe, affirming, creative, and empowering experience for queer youth and allies in southeastern North Carolina.

Hosted in Wilmington, North Carolina, QAMP brings together LGBTQIA+ youth, supportive adults, educators, artists, advocates, therapists, and community leaders for a weekend focused on connection, self-expression, leadership, creativity, and belonging.  QAMP is designed to remove barriers for youth participation. Camp is completely free for participants and includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, beverages, camp materials, a camp t-shirt, and other goodies at no cost to families.  Please let us know any dietary restrictions.

Our Mission

Through youth-driven programming, we aim to help queer and trans young people build confidence, resilience, and the ability to lead with authenticity.
